Taylor spent his early days growing up in Evans, Georgia, graduating from Evans High School before attending The University of Georgia for four years.  In 2012, he graduated from UGA with a degree in English, and a year later he started at The University of South Carolina School of Law.  In 2016, he graduated with honors in the top 10% of his law school class and took his first job as an associate at a well-reputed law firm in Augusta, Georgia.​​

 

In law school, Taylor made it his goal to return to South Carolina and practice law.  In late 2017, he got an opportunity to do just that, taking a job as an attorney with a well-known personal injury law firm in Horry County.  He spent nearly seven years at that firm, learning from and working with some of the best lawyers and the best people he'd ever known.​

 

In 2024, he decided to realize another goal, and opened Hooven Law Group, LLC, where he tries to bring his years of experience to bear on the various legal issues affecting his neighbors and friends in the Grand Strand and its surrounding South Carolina counties.

 

​Taylor is a dyed-in-the-wool Georgia fan and has spent more time than he'd care to admit trying to break 90 on the golf course (he's not much closer now than when he started).  When he's not causing greenskeepers to reconsider their profession, you can find him playing chess, sitting on the beach, or spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their bengal cats, Aslan and Phoebe.
